Privacy Policy

How we handle your personal information — in line with South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). Last updated 22 June 2026.

Who we are

WaterPointSA (“we”, “us”) helps South African homeowners find the honest, cheapest fix for their water problem. For any privacy question or request, contact us at admin@genpicked.com.

What we collect

  • What you give us: your name, phone number, email address, the property address you check, and the solution and options you request a quote for.
  • Automatically (only if you accept): usage analytics via Google Analytics and PostHog (pages viewed, device/browser, and how you move through the tool, which may include session replay), using cookies, to understand how the site is used and improve it. These load only after you click “Accept” on the cookie banner — if you Decline, no analytics or replay run at all. You can change your mind any time by clearing this site's cookies. PostHog data is hosted in the EU.

Why we use it, and our lawful basis

  • To run your free feasibility check and show your recommendation — at your request.
  • To contact you about the quote you asked for, and to arrange it — with your consent, given when you submit the form.
  • To connect you with a vetted installer to prepare and deliver that quote.

We do not sell your information, and we do not send you marketing you didn't ask for.

Who we share it with

Only the vetted installer(s) needed to prepare and deliver the quote you requested, and the infrastructure providers that host this site. They may use it solely to provide that service.

How we protect it

Your details are kept in a secured database, encrypted in transit, with restricted access. We keep your information only as long as needed to serve you and meet our legal obligations, then delete it.

Your rights under POPIA

You can ask us to access, correct or delete your information, or object to how we use it — just email admin@genpicked.com and we'll action it. You also have the right to complain to the Information Regulator (South Africa) at inforegulator.org.za.

Changes

If our practices change, we'll update this page and the “last updated” date above.
